NCCCO Training The National Commission for Certification of Crane Operators (NCCO) currently requires that crane operators be certified on the specific type of crane that they operate. This requirement can also be found in the California Code of Regulations Title 8, Section 5006.1. The operator certification process consists of passing a written core exam and at least one or any of four specialty exams covering different types of mobile cranes. AC3 offers a two-day classroom preparatory course designed to help prepare operators for the written exam and any specialty they have chosen. We also arrange for you to take the written exams. Operators must also pass the practical exams that relate to whatever specialty exams they have taken. AC3 offers practical testing, which is a “hands on” exam on your own equipment at your facility (if conditions allow), or at our facility with our equipment. For more information, please see http://www.nccco.org. General Training AC3 conducts safety training courses on topics such as operator safety training, fork lift operation, overhead crane operations, rigging courses, navy 40 hour crane safety course, and others. Courses are conducted at your place of business utilizing equipment familiar to your employees. Class curriculum includes both classroom and hands on training. |
